It is a busy time in the halls of Mt. Hope

The Mt. Hope community is experiencing an exciting transition time.   Our seniors are practicing for this Saturday's graduation.   While the seniors are preparing to make their exit from our school, today we are welcoming in the incoming 9th graders from Kickemuit Middle School.   We want to introduce them to the our school and all that is great about Mt. Hope.

Our incoming 9th graders met with student leaders from our wide variety of clubs and sports.   They participated in a question and answer panel led by our current 9th graders who gave good advice.  Out of the mouths of our current 9th graders came the following words of wisdom:
1) Join something.  It is a good way to make friends and it keeps you focused on school work.
2) I have had to learn not to procrastinate.   I can't really do my homework in school anymore, so make sure you do it at home.
3) If you get lost, ask a teacher where to go.
4) As soon as you realize you aren't getting it, ask the teacher for help.   They'll stay after and help you.
