Seniors and Naviance

This week, all Seniors activated their Naviance accounts under the tutelage of the guidance department.   Students were excited to search for colleges and universities using this program.   We believe that Naviance will help students research a variety of colleges and universities that best suit their individual preferences for post-secondary education.

If you missed the account activation workshop, please contact your guidance counselor.   The guidance counselors will be hosting drop in workshops over the next few weeks to continue to assist students with different aspects of the program.

For the families of our seniors, please consider joining us for a Naviance workshop during the College Fair at Mt. Hope High School on September 24th.

Rhode Island Harvard Club Admissions Information Session

I received this information from the Harvard Club of Rhode Island.   Each year, Harvard College holds an information session about the undergraduate application process to Harvard College.    If this is a school that is on your radar screen, it is a fantastic chance to meet with representatives locally.

 

The date for the session is Sunday, October 5th, 2014.

The Officers and Directors of the Harvard Club of Rhode Island cordially invite interested high school juniors and seniors and guidance staff to the Sixty Fourth Annual Secondary School Information Session. We would like to extend a special invitation to you based on your academic achievements.


We will present a program on Harvard College, featuring a panel discussion by current Harvard undergraduates, a video about campus life, and our featured speaker, Meghan Stetson, who will discuss aspects of admission and life in Cambridge. Meghan is the admissions officer for Rhode Island.

Registration begins at 3:45 pm and the program will begin promptly at 4:00 pm.
