Information from The College of the Holy Cross
Greetings
from Holy Cross,
Students
can apply for the program through this link: holycross.edu/perspectives.
The deadline to apply online is Monday October 13. The
Perspectives Program is a great opportunity for prospective students to explore
diversity on campus and engage in thoughtful conversations with current
students. It is a busy, but very rewarding weekend.
If
you or your student has any questions about the Program, please do not hesitate
to contact Ashley Johnson (ajohnson@holycross.edu)
as she is the Co-Coordinator of the Program. If a student is accepted to
the program, but the cost of transportation would cause undue hardship to the

to possibly help resolve the issue.
Best,

Seniors and Naviance
This week, all Seniors activated their Naviance accounts under the tutelage of the guidance department. Students were excited to search for colleges and universities using this program. We believe that Naviance will help students research a variety of colleges and universities that best suit their individual preferences for post-secondary education.
If you missed the account activation workshop, please contact your guidance counselor. The guidance counselors will be hosting drop in workshops over the next few weeks to continue to assist students with different aspects of the program.
For the families of our seniors, please consider joining us for a Naviance workshop during the College Fair at Mt. Hope High School on September 24th.

Annual College Fair and Parent Workshops----SAVE THE DATE---September 24, 2014
Our annual College Fair will be held at Mt. Hope High School on September 24 from 4-7 p.m. We encourage families to attend with their children. This event is free and open to the public.
Due to the success of our parent workshops last year, once again, the guidance counselors will host workshops for parents about the college application process. Our first series of workshops will be held during the College Fair. This year, one of our workshops will be an introduction to Naviance. Naviance is an electronic tool that allows students and parents to manage the college application process. Senior students are being introduced to Naviance next week.
This year, we have collaborated with Barrington High School. As of this post, over 50 college and university representatives will attend. We believe that there will be several schools of interest for our students. Please join us!
